About the Job Opportunity

  • Work closely with the Project Manager and or Project Architect on multiple aspects including programming, schematic design, space planning, design development, and construction documentation

  • Participate in the selection and presentation of the project design including furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting

  • Generate finish plans, specifications, and material selections

  • Provide design support and documentation throughout the design phases of the project

  • Provide production support for construction documents required for permit and construction

  • Work with Engineers / consultants, product representatives, and furniture dealers

  • Assist in multiple aspects of coordination with the project team and Contractors during construction administration

 

What we’re looking for in our future Intermediate Designer

  • 3-7 years of relevant work experience in Interior Design

  • Experience in the development and production of construction documents

  • Visualization, graphics, and presentation skills to effectively communicate the project design

  • Basic knowledge of programming, planning, finishes, materials, furniture systems, and specifications

  • Prior working knowledge of the building codes and previous work experience with mechanical, electrical, and structural Engineering

  • Proficient in AutoCAD / Revit and SketchUp.

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite applications

  • Knowledge of Podium is a plus

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree and / or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture from accredited school.

  • NCIQ, State Architecture or comparable license or certification preferred but not required
